Elizabeth Ahlers Praises Parents for Peaceful Protest and Condemns Antifa for Inciting Violence
GLENDALE, CA — During the Glendale School Board meeting on Tuesday June 6, 2023 Elizabeth Wong Ahlers was present when a violent brawl erupted between Antifa and parents. Parents were peacefully protesting and demanding transparency of the curriculum that their children are receiving.
“As a mother, I am appalled by the violence incited by Antifa at the Glendale School Board meeting last night. This was a peaceful protest by parents who were trying to voice their concerns about the LGBT pride agenda being forced on their children. The fact that this protest turned violent is a disgrace.
I also want to praise the parents who were there to peacefully protest. They were exercising their right to free speech, and they did so in a way that was respectful and dignified. I thank them for their courage.
I stand with the Glendale families in their effort to protect their children and keep their local government accountable. Let’s not be intimidated by those who seek to silence us. We will continue to speak out for our children’s right to a quality education, not a political agenda.
The violence was incited by Antifa, who were trying to silence the parents from speaking out about their concerns. Antifa is a violent and extremist group, and they have no place in our community. I urge the Glendale Police Department to investigate the violence and to bring those responsible to justice.
I am proud of our community for being involved: driven by the power of love, unwavering in our dedication to protect our children, and boldly championing the cause of liberty.
It is absolutely critical that our elected officials believe in good governance and transparency. I urge the Glendale school board to listen to the concerns of these loving parents and to take action to protect our children.”
